A little pick-me-up

Chanced upon this quote while looking for something inspirational to include in a speech:

"If you were busy being kind,
Before you knew it, you would find
You'd soon forget to think 'twas true
That someone was unkind to you.

If you were busy being glad,
And cheering people who are sad,
Although your heart might ache a bit,
You'd soon forget to notice it."

~ R. Foreman ~

How true right? Now, if only we can all keep this in mind more often. :p

On a totally different note (but still relevant to the title of this post):

Sometimes I wish places like supermarket or bookstores have bouncers like clubs n discos. That might just help to keep out unsavoury characters with the perversive tendencies of preying on unsuspecting consumers who are really just there to shop, catching them off-guard and totally unprepared for such encounters in such locations.

These creeps 'alternative shoppers' really need to get it into their head that NOT everything that they happen to find in shops are:
1. on display
2. for browsing
3. to be picked up

Especially if they happen to be living, breathing fellow human beings.

They should probably have signs saying these put up.

Enough already! Grrr.
